Treehouse

On Saturday, we went to Treehouse.  My friend Cody surprised Me and Meghan when he came in to play too!  We had fun going down the slides! - Luke

Camera Question

When I asked Daddy how a camera works, he told me there's a little man inside that draws a picture every time I push the button......  I wonder how he got in there?.........  I don't think Daddy's telling the truth! - Luke

Luke: How come old photographs are always black and white? Didn't they have color film back then?
Dad: Sure they did. In fact, those old photographs are in color. It's just that the world was black and white then. The world didn't turn color until sometime in the 1930s, and it was pretty grainy color for a while, too
(If you think you know who actually said this, make a comment!)

Painting

Sometimes she sits at the top of the hill
Painting the valley below
And sometimes she watches from her room
Painting the white flakes of snow

Maybe she'll be at the park today
Painting the ducks having fun
Or in the dense pine forest
Painting rabbits while they run

She's never in the same place twice
And she is always on her own
With a sketchpad, paintbrush, paints and pallet
Painting the grass as it grows

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Following tonight’s dinner, Daddy made us chocolate chip cookies.  I helped to put in the ingredients.  I liked when Daddy opened the egg and made egg juice.  After we mixed everything together, we ran upstairs to take a bath while the cookies were in the oven.  When bath was over we ate the warm, sticky cookies, which made Mommy and Daddy question the order of tonight’s events. Daddy said I looked like Olivia Newton John. - Meg

Aunt Chalese's Birthday

On Sunday we went to Nanna and Buppa's house to celebrate Aunt Chalese's Birthday.  I played lego with Evan and ate a lot of cake.  Uncle Mark tickled Meghan. - Luke

Saturday at Grandma's House

Grandma got us a Dinosaur Interactive Adventure game.  It talks to us and tells us the names of the dinosaurs, which are really hard to pronounce. - Luke

Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast

Mommy made pumpkin pie on Friday night, but she said it was too late to eat a piece so we had it for breakfast on Saturday.  It made us really happy! - Luke

U of M Natural History Museum

Mommy and Daddy took Me and Meghan to look at dinosaur bones on Saturday.  Nanna and Buppa met us at the museum.  It was really fun.  I saw a T-Rex.  We also saw a lot of animals from Michigan, like coyotes and foxes and wolves.  Daddy said they were stuffed - I guess they ate too much.  We went to a place called a planetarium and saw a movie about space and we looked at the stars. I took pictures. - Luke

Happy New Year

On New Years Eve, my friend Cody came over with his Mom and Dad and we stayed up really really late to say HAPPY NEW YEAR.  Mr. Rob and Ms. Michelle were there too. Meghan was really tired and didn't make it to say HAPPY NEW YEAR.  The next day I slept in. - Luke
